It not only stands as a plunge pool to dip in and cool off in the warmer months but doubles as an oversize spa complete with spa jets and an electric heat pump. During the in-between months, the pool has been fitted with solar heating to maintain a comfortable swimming temperature (The solar on this pool has hit and maintained pool water temperatures of 34 degrees during summer!)
The pool contains a 2.1m x 1m bench/splash area complete with a air-blower for a little fun and 4 x entry steps. The interior has been tiled with a ‘Silver’ Travertine 400x400mm stone tile for an ultimate Mediterranean look.
A Paramount In-floor cleaning system has been installed to keep this pool debris free and; all pool systems, including landscaping lighting, can be controlled using the wall mounted Intellitouch Automation system.
The pool’s elevations made for an opportunity to make an impression – so the design team took advantage of this by selecting a stand out patterned feature tile on all exterior walls of the pool (from Colortile). Furthermore, the pool has a full border infinity edge.
